Container combination

Container buildings are widely used, primarily in post-disaster emergency reconstruction, residential construction, commercial buildings, cultural and educational buildings, and public service buildings. Due to their ease of transportation and simple construction, containers can be combined to meet functional requirements, not just single containers. These can be combined vertically, horizontally, in series, with crosses, openings, staggered, and cantilevered.

Repeating unit container parallel arrangement: Multiple containers with the same modular units or type are arranged horizontally or vertically in parallel, or horizontally or vertically in parallel to form a building. Although arranged in parallel, they are not connected; each container is an independent entity, interconnected but not interfering with each other.

Unit container series arrangement: Multiple units are arranged in series, with containers placed close together, either aligned or staggered. This arrangement can create courtyard gardens or resting platforms in between. It can also serve as balconies on the first floor and above. Graffiti can be added to the staggered areas to create a beautiful visual effect.

Unit container series arrangement requires opening, which can change the form of a single-story space and provide more diverse floor plans. (This also addresses height restrictions.)

Intersections can be categorized into three types: vertical intersections, I-shaped intersections, and planar and elevation intersections, which can create different visual effects. A sharp angle intersecting a corner is a unique intersection method. However, this method creates a large amount of negative space, making it difficult to use and prone to accidents. It is more suitable for obtuse intersections within exhibition halls. Intersections are relatively flexible in architecture, making cantilevered combinations a better choice.
